Built in 11th century, Kehen temple is one of Bali’s most beautiful temples located in Cempaga Village, Bangli. This temple is often described as the miniature version of the Pura Besakih. Like the mother temple, this temple has 8 terraces and it is built on the southern slope of the hill.
The beautiful symbolic stone carvings around the temple also add to the visual interest of this temple. Kehen means household or fireplace and symbolizes God of fire, Brahma who protects the temple.
